Lupita Nyong'o begins shooting Hollywood movie
Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong'o is currently on set of her new Hollywood film titled Twelve Years a Slave. Lupita who plays a slave girl, Patsey, started shooting late last month in New Orleans.
Her reps told Word Is via email, “Lupita has just arrived in New Orleans to start shooting the film, and is very excited about it and all the enthusiasm it has generated in Kenya.”
Lupita will be on set with a star studded cast that includes Michael Fassbender, Alfre Woodard, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Ruth Negga, Adepero Oduye, Paul Dano, Benedict Cumberbatch, Scoot McNairy, Garret Dillahunt, Paul Giamatti and Sarah Paulson.
Twelve Years a Slave is being produced by Brad Pitt through his production company, Plan B Entertainment. John Ridley, writer of Red Tails and Undercover Brother, has co-written the screenplay with McQueen.
