Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi on Sunday dismissed Justice Minister Eugene Wamalwa’s presidential ambition saying he was inexperienced to lead Kenya.
Mudavadi said Mr Wamalwa has had a short stint in government affairs, hence, cannot coordinate activities as expected by the people.
“Someone has been appointed a Minister only two months ago and then claims he wants to be a president. We are talking about a whole nation not just a constituency. We want people who have experience in management,” said Musalia.
Mudavadi said that his experience in managing government affairs was adequate in the running of the nation.
Mudavadi who was speaking in Teso urged politicians to practice constructive politics so as to unite the country.
“We should practise constructive politics and not name calling. Constructive politics is the only way we can take our country forward,” said Mudavadi.
Mudavadi was referring to recent events where he had been termed as a “government project”.
Mudavadi said that he was free to talk to any politician and therefore it should not be translated as him being a “project.”

He added that he was in consultation with like-minded people to ensure that the country gets a leader who will prosper its economy.
“People thought that I was joking when I said I wanted the top seat. When they realised I was serious, they began name calling. This shows that they are afraid of my candidature and I will fight them to the end,” said Mr Mudavadi.
Mudavadi said that UDF party had proper democratic process that would give everyone a chance to contest and seek nomination certificates.
“No one should be cheated that they would get a direct nomination from this party. Everyone will have to go through the proper process in order to get the nomination,” said the DPM.
