Kenya's outspoken Foreign Assistant minister Richard Onyonka is among MPs without parties, records deposited before High Court revealed.
Cooperatives Assistant minister Linah Jebii Kilimo has no party after the one she was elected on failed to meet compliance as per the Political Parties Act.
Trouble for the six MPs started when a lobby group called Friends of Raila (Fora) moved to court seeking orders that  the Registrar of Political Parties to write to the Speaker of the National Assembly to declare the seats held by the six MPs vacant.
Justice Mohammed Warsame then ordered the Registrar of Political Parties to submit the full list of MPs and their current affiliation in court.
Among the first two casualties were MPs elected on Sisi Kwa Sisi party David Ngugi (Kinangop) and Mwangi Barnabas Muturi (Kiharu). The party has since been deregistered after failing to meet the compliance of the Political Parties Act.

Kioko Mbuvi Gideon (Makadara)  was also declared party-less until a case pending in court versus the  Attorney General and the Registrar of Political parties is heard and determined. SOnko was elected on Narc Kenya.
Jebii  Kilimo (Marakwet East MP) of Kenda party became a casualty as the party failed to meet requirements of registration.
Kitutu Chache MP Onyonka was elected on PDP but has since been removed  from the party list under section 17 of the Political Parties Act.  He recently announced his defection to ODM.
Gatundu North MP Waibara Clement Kung’u who was elected on Party of Indepndent candidates ticket was declared  party-less in the membership data base for MPs.
ODM-K MPs have been registered as belonging to Wiper Democratic party. This is after party applied to the registrar seeking to change its name.
Meanwhile, PNU and NAK have been enjoined as interested parties the case of FORA  seeking interpretation that MPs who defected be forced to resign from their seats.
