Presidential aspirant Raphael Tuju has teamed up with four parties in an alliance as he prepares himself for next year’s General Election.
His Party of Action combined forces with Chama Cha Mwanchi of former MP Koigi Wamwere, Social Democratic Party of Mwandawiro Mghanga, Peoples Party of Kenya and Chama Cha Uzalendo to form the Hoja Alliance.
Mr Tuju said he was expecting three more parties to join his alliance, which he said was for the low class.
He said if he takes over as the President of Kenya, he will bring all communities together and create jobs for the youth to reduce poverty.
Reading a statement on behalf of the new alliance, Mr Wamwere said the Hoja Alliance would give Kenyans hope based on pro-poor principles.
The former Nyandarua MP said their alliance was built on concrete socio-economic issues affecting many ordinary Kenyans.
“We at Hoja deliberately refuse to be driven by politics of hate and dissension,” he said.
“We are convinced that Kenyans have more in common and that our cultural diversity is more of a strength than a weakness.”

He said the country had not healed from the 2007/08 post-election and their alliance would seek to correct that once they get into power.
He said Hoja would seek to implement the Constitution fully to promote leadership that can be trusted to manage public resources, which include public funds and land, at the national and county levels.
