Police have formed a special squad to track down gangsters who abducted a banker on Friday and a five-year-old girl in November.
The head of the Flying Squad Nyale Munga confirmed that his office was assisting the respective local CID offices with both cases but did not give details.
“We have formed a special team to assist Ngong CID in tracking the abductors,” said the Flying Squad boss.
Mrs Angela Wanuku Mwangi was abducted at the gate of her home in Rongai and has not been traced since.
On that fateful evening, Angela had met her husband, Mr Christopher Muli, at Escapades Restaurant before heading home at around 6.45pm.
Lost track of them
On reaching her gate, she found four men who bundled her into a waiting dark blue Peugeot saloon. The abduction was witnessed by neighbours and the woman’s eight-year-old son.

A neighbour called the husband to inform him of what had happened and when he went to the gate, he found his wife’s shoes, some food and a knife.
He rushed back and informed the police who started pursuing the men towards Kiserian but lost track of them.
Angela, a 28-year-old mother of three, had not informed her family of any threat and as of Sunday evening, she could not be reached by phone.
The abductors had also not communicated to any family member either to demand ransom or claim responsibility.
Ngong OCPD Simon Kiragu said they had not established the motive for the abduction.
On November 26, a five-year-old girl, Tania Omondi, was abducted by two unknown women in Umoja Inner Core and she has not been seen since.
The kidnappers have so far been paid a ransom amounting to about Sh1 million.
Although all the transfers have been done through Mpesa, no one has been arrested to date.
The abductors are said to be in constant communication with the family.
