Ruto and Sambili dropped, Wetangula back

NAIROBI, Kenya, Aug 24 – William Ruto has been dropped from the Cabinet in a mini-reshuffle and replaced with Prof Margaret Kamar as Prime Minister Raila Odinga moves to tame rebels in his Orange Democratic Movement Party.
Also shown the door is East African Community Minister Hellen Sambili whose docket has been handed over to Mr Odinga’s close ally, Musa Sirma who is a nominated ODM lawmaker.
Interestingly, the Industrialisation Ministry docket held by ODM chairman and Tinderet MP Henry Kosgey remained untouched.  Mr Kosgey has remained relatively quiet since he voluntarily stepped aside after being charged for abuse of office but Mr Ruto has taken on Mr Odinga, daring him to fire him on several occasions.
Mr Kosgey and Mr Ruto are also both facing possible war crimes charges before the International Criminal Court.
Another rebel dismissed is Assistant Livestock Minister Aden Duale whose job has been handed to Voi MP Dan Mwazo.
President Mwai Kibaki has reinstated his Western Kenya ally Moses Wetangula to his job at the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
This is the full dispatch from the President’s Press Service.
Following consultations between His Excellency President Mwai Kibaki and the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister Raila Odinga, His Excellency the President has made the following changes and appointments in the Cabinet :-

& Technology;
