The Kenya Chapter of the International Commission of Jurists and the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights will soon launch a report that profiles the state of the victims of post-election violence and their location. Work on the report has been in progress for the last two months. “Most of the victims of post-election violence known to many Kenyans are those in the internally displaced persons camps either near Nairobi or in Central. Little is known about those who still suffer from scars of the post-election violence from other areas,”  ICJ executive director  George Kegoro said.
He said most of the victims of post-election violence are yet to fully be represented and their experiences and needs go unheard or ignored.Kegoro added that the debate on post-election violence had centred on the alleged perpetrators rather than the victims and this has made it difficult for the victims to overcome the trauma and rebuild their lives.
