Area MP Franklin Bett said that the burial ceremony will be conducted on Saturday and appealed to mourners to stop politicking during the funeral saying it was a big loss to the community.
The MP’s warning is an indication to silence his political opponents not to attack each other since the family was mourning their beloved ones.
Bett remains the only Minister in the region supporting Raila while majority of Mps are supporting Ruto for the top seat.
Expected to feature in the funeral is the latest development of Ruto’s sacking from the ministry and his position taken over by Prof Margret Kamar.
Civic leaders from Bureti county council led by Robert Serbai said they were still supporting Ruto for the top seat saying ministerial seat was not an issue.
Bett also warned road users to observe traffic rules and avoid over speeding when driving.p
Bett said that as the roads minister he was concerned in making sure that all roads in the country are in good condition and thus urged drivers to be careful when  driving.
He was speaking in Chemoiben in his Bureti constituency during a funds drive to assist in funeral ceremony of six family members who perished in road accident last week along Narok-Bomet road.
“I am sad indeed that we are preparing to bury six members of a single family who died on road accident. I strongly urged drivers to be extra careful to avoid such cases,” Bett said.
The minister  said that the accident could have been avoided if people observe rules saying according to report the driver was over speeding.
