Foreign Affairs assistant minister Richard Momoima Onyonka was Thursday grilled for over four hours by the Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission (KACC) over the alleged misuse of Constituency Development Funds(CDF).
Onyonka who is the Kitutu Chache MP was summoned to shed more light on claims that he used 137,058,429.80 million shillings from the kitty to purchase sugar from Chemilil Sugar Company.
KACC Public Relations Officer Nicholas Simani says it is also alleged that Onyonka did not remit Value Added Tax worth over 1.8 million shillings to the Kenya Revenue Authority.
Speaking to Kenya Broadcasting Corporation on phone Simani said investigations are at an advanced stage with key witnesses recording statements with the Commission.
