A senior policeman says his colleagues are trying to fix him in connection with the 2007-08 post-election violence. The man claims that one of his colleagues had reportedly been spreading rumours that he wanted to record a statement with the ICC. The policeman says the reports, "which are baseless", have caused many of his colleagues to doubt his loyalty.

We are told a reshuffle is on the cards in the Prime Minister Raila Odinga's office. Our moles say a senior aide will be replaced by an outsider and be deployed to other duties in the PM's office. The move is part of a wider strategy by the PM to streamline his team ahead of 2012 general elections.

Several emissaries of the Libya National Transitional Council are reportedly in the country to establish and confirm the business assets owned by the Libyan government. The emissaries are seeking appointments with government officials to help them in their mission. Among the assets of the Libyan government are Laico Regency and Oilibya.

The political landscape was abuzz last night following the nomination of Githu Muigai for Attorney General, Agnes Odhiambo for controller of budget and Edward Ouko as Auditor General. While some questioned where the other 40 tribes were in the nominations, others urged their fellow citizens to stop reading ethnicity in every appointment. One MP quipped: "This is what makes power such a high stakes game in Kenya. The winner takes it all."
