An attempt by a delegation from Yatta Constituency to convince Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka to forgive youthful Yatta MP Charles Kilonzo flopped. The evening delegation at the VP's Yatta home saw the professionals dwelling too much on attacking the MP rather than asking the VP to wellcome him back to the fold. In his response the VP feigned ignorance of whether Kilonzo had deserted him. Occasionally Kilonzo openly favours Raila while at times he does it covertly.

Nyando MP Fred Outa was yesterday full of praise for Prime Minister Raila Odinga for acting decisively against his sidekick Miguna Miguna. The legislator told his colleagues in Parliament that PM’s action against Miguna should be welcomed by all. His sentiments were echoed by every MP at the Members’ lobby yesterday as news about the firing of the tough talking lawyer circulated.

Education Minister Sam Ongeri may now have nothing to worry about over the Sh 4.2 billion scandal in his ministry. His former student, Ikolomani MP Dr Bonny Khalwale, who has been planning to reign in on him, appeared to have toned down in his crusade.

Wajir South MP Mohammed Sirat is very bitter with Deputy Speaker Farah Maalim. Yesterday the MP drafted a press statement which he wanted to read at a press conference in which he is accusing Farah of having gagged him in Parliament. Sirat later changed his mind and decided to circulate the statement which had all to do with Red Cross Society of Kenya claiming he had reliable information the media would gag him further if he went ahead with his planned press statement.
