Makueni MP Peter Kiilu who served in the provincial administration for a long time before venturing into the hurly-burly world of politics has not lost his touch. While many of his parliamentary colleagues are loth to be seen mingling with the hoi polloi except when they are seeking their votes, Kiilu was spotted playing host to some of his constituents who had come to visit and tell him their problems. The MP mingled freely as he shared a lunch of beef stew and steamed rice with the constituents at the Parliament staff canteen.

An MP from South Nyanza has found himself in a sticky situation. He ensured most of the development projects under the CDF were concentrated on the side of the constituency dominated by his clansmen ignoring the rest. Now the Ligale Commission has recommended a division of the constituency, he has found that he will be representing what he considers to be the "enemy territory"!

Junior staff at a Naivasha flower farm have gone ahead to report their employer to the taxman. They claim their boss has been evading tax and he was unconcerned when he learnt they had reported him to KRA. Instead, the man is now threatening to deal with those who blew the whistle.

Some officials of the Nairobi Water Services Company have come under the radar of the Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission after they became too conspicuous in their purchase of real estate and other property in Nairobi. The fact that these investments are worth millions of shillings and the officials do not make that much in salaries or business is what has raised KACC's antenna.
