Company CEO killed in Akiba Estate

Armed gangsters on Tuesday night shot and killed a man as he was dropping off his female companion in Akiba Estate, Lang’ata. Police said Maxwell Owuor, the chief executive officer of JABO East and Central Africa, was shot at point blank by the assailants who had trailed them to the estate. The incident happened at about 3am outside the house of a female friend.
The assailants, according to police investigations, were driving a Rav 4 vehicle whose registration numbers was also recorded as KBE 810E. "The two were returning home in the woman’s Mercedes Benz when gunmen emerged and opened fire and fled," said Lang'ata police commandant David Bunei. Bunei said the victim had arrived at the house earlier and left his Suzuki car outside. Detectives went to the scene and interviewed several people in connection with the shooting including the woman who is a customs officer at the Kenya Revenue Authority.
