An ODM activist from South Nyanza accused of having sponsored a court case against the party was at the weekend desperately sending text messages to Prime Minister Raila Odinga trying to exonerate himself. The man is panicking over the consequences of the case on his own political ambitions. The premier who is on holiday in Europe with his wife Ida has ignored the man.

A group of Rift Valley MPs supporting William Ruto have failed in their attempts to separate former minister from Igembe Central MP Mithika Linturi. The legislators were trying to convince Ruto that Linturi cannot be trusted, but they were shocked when Ruto insisted that he will continue working with the MP to the last minute.

Some Rarieda constituents are bitter with their MP Nicholas Gumbo for attempting to challenge Prime Minister Raila Odinga over the taxation of MPs. Our mole in Rarieda overheard the residents talking of how they will deal with their MP who came out on Friday criticising the Premier and other MPs who have already paid tax. Gumbo was seen on TV complaining about the taxation probably unaware that in Nyanza, once Raila has paid tax, everybody else must pay.

Still on the PM, journalists and politicians have complained about his spokesman Dennis Onyango who seems to have decided to snub them. They want the PM to check his aide’s unbecoming behaviour saying Onyango does not answer calls from journalists forcing the scribes to call other officers from the PM office to seek clarifications. Some officers from the PM’s office say Onyango looks at the numbers of those calling and brands them PNU or William Ruto sympathisers who are being used to ‘fight us’.
