Illness among our politicians is a closely guarded secret. So when a senior Cabinet minister collapsed, his handlers, aides and even his wife seem thunderstruck and did not know what to do. An MP from Rift Valley is wanted by police for gun running. The MP has reportedly been the source of guns for criminals operating in major towns. When three gangsters were arrested a few weeks ago they revealed to the police that they had got their guns from the MP. The MP is not known to have a home— rental or otherwise— here in the city and those who know him well say he seems to prefer spending his nights in meetings at various different venues.
