A senior policeman has become the topic of conversation among his colleagues at Vigilance House.The policemen are wondering how the man has been able to amass so much wealth within a short time. They say that the policeman has acquired several lorries which ferry sand from parts of Ukambani to Nairobi on a daily basis. The man is also putting up a multi-million shilling house at Garden Estate.

Still on matters related to the police, junior policemen in Nairobi are wondering what interest one of their bosses has with the ladies of the night. We are told that the officer has ordered his juniors not to arrest any prostitutes "because they are doing business just like anyone else." Whenever the policemen arrest the twilight girls the officer personally appears at the relevant police stations to order for their release.

An ODM minister skipped an official function in Nairobi on the grounds that he was unwell and directed his aides to represent him. The minister was spotted the same day in his home town where he wined and dined with his friends until late into the night.

A PNU MP had on Wednesday reportedly planned to hold a press conference at Parliament Buildings to release a dossier implicating some senior government officials in shady deals. But the MP, who was spotted carrying a pile of documents, changed his mind a few minutes before he entered the press centre after someone informed him that whistle blower Wikileaks had released a diplomatic cable authored by US ambassador Michael Ranneberger where he was mentioned as among those banned from traveling to the US over graft and other malpractices.
