Tension is building up between an assistant minister and a senior civil servant after the politician accused the officer of seducing his wife. The war between the two has escalated to the extent that top grand coalition administrators have been invited to intervene. We understand the politician is pushing for serious disciplinary measures against the civil servant whom he accuses of not respecting his seniors. However, the officer has denied any affair with the assistant minister's wife.

A prominent MP from the Coast has ensconced his paramour in an apartment at an upmarket Nairobi suburb. Unlike his colleagues who have established homes in the city, the man is not known to own any property and commutes from Mombasa to attend to business in Parliament. Whenever he is not engaged in parliamentary business, the man is to be found at the apartment.

Fighting off an election petition is really expensive. Last week an MP whose election is being questioned reportedly borrowed Sh2 million from the Bunge Sacco to replenish his petition account. The man is complaining that he has spent millions of shillings and the court battle is draining all his savings.

What really is happening between Wildlife Minister Dr Noah Mahalangang’a Wekesa and his assistant minister Josephat Koli Nanok? The two, who were known for working together in harmony, seem to have fallen out. Their staff have noted the coldness between the two and are speculating about the cause.
