EcoScan: Endangered Rothschild

The international union for the conservation of nature has now listed a sub-species of the giraffe in its red list of endangered species. With less than 670 Rothschild giraffes surviving in the wild conservationists are raising an alarm that if measures are not put in place, the species, would become extinct in the next few years. And as Sheila Sendeyo reports on Ecoscan this week, Kenya has a huge responsibility to ensure that the species does not die out since 60% of the surviving population in the world is found in the country.
